Kind Words About Us
Freedom Home Care helped me after my shoulder surgery. Initially, I needed 24 hour home care and then as I healed, my care was tailored to meet my changing needs. I feel good about recommending them to others in need, because my team of caregivers took such good care of me and helped me through one of the toughest times in my life. Freedom Home Care provided a professional and caring service that I absolutely depended on and for that I am thankful. Phenix City, AL A. Weldon, LPN |

I received a call today from a son looking for help for his mom at home. We get lots of requests for our senior care services, but mostly from daughters or wives. So as you can imagine, calls from sons usually go a little different. Sons are mostly nonchalant about the situation and just want the facts. You know, what is the cost and the logical reasons behind things. These calls are usually fast and result in one of our free in-home assessments being setup. During the assessment, usually done in the home, the family's needs and desires for care are established. Caring for seniors in their own homes can be challenging so it is usually good to have as many family and friends involved and present as possible. Today the son asked very sophisticated and knowledgeable questions (because he is a retired banker) and also informed me that his mother was on Hospice. I relayed to him that we are aware of the special circumstances around end-of-life care for the elderly and, in fact, have worked very closely with many Hospice Agencies and Hospice patients over the years. His main concern was the same as many family members have, which is help for mom at home until the end. I assured him we could help make her wishes and his desires a reality. Check back here and I will update you on this story as it evolves.
