Freedom Home Care is a Georgia State-Licensed Private Home Care Provider and a member of The Senior's Choice network, a leading in-home assistance and companion care provider with over 20 years of experience.

What is now known as Freedom Home Care was started by Joe and Hope Robbins as Freedom Senior Care and initially provided only sitter services to seniors.   Both Joe and Hope left technical careers; Joe was an Aviation Electronics Engineer for United Airlines and Hope was a Lead Programmer at TSYS.  These career changes may seem odd on the surface; however, passion for serving others is not just a career choice it’s a way of life.

Freedom strives to create a culture of caring for our employees and our clients.  Only the most motivated, caring, reliable and honest people are invited to work at Freedom, because these are the core values of the company.  Employees are trained, highly valued, and treated with respect and dignity at all levels.  This insures clients receive compassionate and professional care that is superior to anyone else in the industry.

Over the years many new services have been added to the list, which only increased the passion for serving others.   And today, Freedom Home Care is the largest member of The Senior's Choice in Georgia due to a focus on providing personal care from the heart.  Freedom Home Care provides home care services to hundreds of clients and their families in and around Columbus.

 

 

MANAGEMENT
Joe Robbins is the President of Freedom Home Care.   Joe spends the majority of his time marketing, and serving in the community on various industry related committees and boards.  Joe has a serving heart and a passion for helping families in need.  In December 2004, Joe earned the designation of Certified Senior Advisor (CSA), by the Society of Certified Senior Advisors.  Certified Senior Advisors must have expertise in a professional discipline, pass a challenging national exam, and agree to live up to high ethical and professional standards.  Joe has also received training for Cognitive Retention Therapy (CRT), and is a Qualified Dementia Care Provider.

Hope Robbins is the Vice President of Operations of Freedom Home Care.  Hope graduated from Georgia Southwestern State University with a BS in Computer Information Systems.  After working in information technology for 10 years, she left corporate America to join her husband, Joe, in their family business.   Hope has also received training as a Qualified Dementia Care Provider.
 

 

 

 

Our staff is dedicated to serving the needs of our clients and our employees.  Most of our staff have extensive backgrounds in home care, either from working in administration, or from working in the field as caregivers.  One of our principles at Freedom Home Care is that "Healthcare is a Calling", and the compassion and commitment from our staff, both in the office and the field, is evidence of that belief. 

 

 

 

 

 

Sandra Cox, R.N. is the medical director of Freedom Home Care.  Sandra earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Valdosta State University and has been a nurse for over 30 years, working mostly in home health.  Sandra manages the Medicaid program and supervises all nursing services.  She is married with three children and stays busy with her church, reading, and her dogs.  Sandra's excellent work ethic and personal integrity make her an asset to Freedom and a devoted patient advocate.
